Description
After weeks of work, here is the Kalinin class battlecruiser.
The kalanin is a massive battlecruiser with a volume of over 60,000, a full interior and substantial fire power. The kalinin is meant to be somewhat balanced with campaign craft for the custom faction I'm working on. The kalinin is armed with 1 1400 RPM ciws/kinetic cannon, 52 large missiles, 7 smaller CIWS/AA cannons, many torpedoes and several smaller missiles. This craft took forever to build as I had to learn how to create good interiors to produce it. Although it is a craft based around the premises of missile spam, the APS cannons are pretty strong against many targets. Unfortunately it's material consumption in battle is less the ideal.

Also I'm accepting submissions for my custom campaign, I'm looking for similar style/design crafts that perform similar to those in the in-game campaign. Currently I'm most short on smaller buildings.

Are your ships, including this based on modern ships? If so, may I use your ships in my custom campaign?

Way too OP. I am not complaining.

You make epic ships

Is anyone else having issues loading in their workshop ships? I go to spawn it at a vehicle spawner but it acts like I don't even have it downloaded.

I have a general design method which is plan something out by outlining the hull from the side and top, I fill in the hull, add in the weapons with some armor and then set up the other systems. I begin the front deck then finish off the rear of the hull (which unlike the fronts for me is kind of slapped together because I'm sick of building hulls at that point). I then work my way from front to back on super structure. I'd recommend looking at my Tappan class as it's a simple design that is a solid platform for a ship. I don't build maximally efficient ships and purposely nerf my armor by using mostly alloy instead of metal. Mimics eventually come to you, I always use a singular platform that I store most of my mimics and turret caps on. My mountain class cruiser is also probably good to look at for mimic usage as it has a lot of overly done turret caps and includes almost all the tricks I use on my ships.

I can give a few tips, hull design for cruisers is actually pretty easy once you get down a method, the strategy is designing a curved center, the extending it out forwards and making it come to a point, this is different for all ships so I can't really provide any tips here, but if you want to get especially fancy, you can use spin blocks to make a sloped deck, the easiest way to blend is by using triangle and inverted blocks to round it in, if you want it to be more gradual, use mimics to make them 1.5 or 2 blocks tall. You can use mimiced offsets for a huge amount of smoothing as well. I'll document the progress on my next ship if that helps and maybe make a tutorial for that.

Dude start like a youtube channel or something in which you show how you build your ships or something. Or make like tutorials. Because I mean every single ship you made recently is just gorgeous. I have like just under 590 hours into this game, just like trying to get to understand everything. And when I see your ships I am just in awe. It is so inspiring but at the same time kinda depressing, cause I know I will never ever come even close to your level in this game. To be completely honoust I have basicly 1 ship that I made, with 2 variatians (an aps version and a cram version), of which I am proud. They both can beat almost all onyx watch ships and some steel strider ships without taken a crazy amount of damage. But that is basicly it. I haven't even tried a campaign just because I basicly don't have anything. Do you have like any tips?

The weapons, the detail, the interior, etc. are all amazing. Some of the best work I've seen in a long while, better than most people could do.

But god damn, that hull is sexy.

The first thing I'd recommend is having a plan, after that though, I'd suggest looking at actual ships to see what they have. A lot of the time there are decreases and dips in the actual design roof line of the superstructure. I also have to recommend working from the front to the back as well, a lot of people suggest building upwards, but I've found that that leads to a lot of variation.
