Description
Purpose
A medium size shuttle with a large grid ore detector attached at the rear, designed for surveying asteroids and planet/lunar surfaces for ore.

For a rover fulfilling the same role, try the Prospector-RO 31.

Find the non-DLC version here

The Squatina has limited cargo space, in exchange for extra batteries and a longer range. It is also able to escape planetary gravity, and so can be used as a personal shuttle.

When printing this shuttle using the ISL - Small Ship Printer or a similar set up, please note that projections are not able to extend to subgrids. This means that the large grid ore detector attachment (1 Large Grid Ore Detector & 1 Advanced Rotor Head) will have to be built separately and then attached to the ship. There is enough space between where the detector sits and the thrusters of the squatina to allow the rotor to turn 360 degrees without colliding.

This ship has an empty mass of 62454 kgs, and can fly at a maximum tilt of 90 degrees below horizon.

All Programmable blocks are turned off in this blueprint and all toolbars are the same from the cockpit and remote control.

All ships in this set have a Merge block (front mounted on this ship) and can be printed using a welder wall with one (large grid) piston. However in this design the merge block should be ground down after printing, all blocks that require removal are painted bright red.

Hi Spite, been using the HO version in out of space, been looking to upgrade to a space only prospector as this one is one is quite heavy, I can see the IO also has AO, do you have a pure space prospector to drop the weight?

I love how you list the functions on your toolbars and include the necessary script commands.
