Union Pacific Z-SCKS 02 | Race Over Dale

Description
OCTOBER 2ND, 2002: Today you are in command of Union Pacific Z-SCKS 02, a maximum priority intermodal train. Your power is two ex-SP C44-9's and two SD60's. You have 65 cars carrying millions of dollars worth of merchandise bound for Walmart, Ace Hardware, various car dealerships and many more. At the start of this scenario you will be almost finished with your ten hour stint, with the hardest part just ahead. Keep focused as you race another eastbound shuttle train across Hermosa and Dale. Sherman Hill is busy today, so expect lots of yellow signals and many meets. The Laramie Subdivision dispatch will be in close communication with you as you approach Cheyenne.

This is a rolling start scenario
I did this because I saw no reason why this high priority train would be stopped anywhere on Sherman Hill. Also it made the race over Hermosa and Dale a lot easier to time.

SPECIAL NOTE: Write down or take a screenshot of your arrival time at Cheyenne! I want to see how you guys did, especially since I have a feeling many people will arrive at the crew change point at different times. There are some tricks to running efficiently under yellow signals, but I won't spoil them for those who don't know. Feel free to post your time in the comments below. I made it to Cheyenne Depot at 9:42 AM. Let me know if you can beat that! Extra points if you can make it without the HUD and without SPAD-ing.

I got there at 9:50 as had the decoupling, but noticed it quickly and went back and got the back end. Otherwise a fun run on Sherman. Thanks for all you do.

The SD60M can't be purchased independently. It was originally part of the TS Rewards programme but nowadays should come free with Sherman Hill. If you didn't recieve the SD60M DLC when you bought the route, or if you bought it long enough ago not to be given it automatically and also didn't receive it via TS Rewards, then you can, as I understand, contact DTG support to be given a key. The same should apply for all the other TS Rewards stuff: the gas turbine, the 50ft RBL boxcar, and the 89ft flatcar with HMMWVs on it.

All good man. I like the SD60M model a lot, but it does had a bad horn and iffy engine sounds so I just used it for meets. If you ever buy it in the future I'd try and get sound mods lol

@Bruce Rail Fan Try it again but save every mile or 2. that way you can exit and then restart from last saved spot

I got the decoupling issue on my first test run too, I'm sorry to hear that Bruce. I ended up just completing the scenario with half a train on that test run, as well as one of my recent P&L route scenarios.. it's been frustrating me for a while.

Enjoyed the scenario but train decoupled half way through so could not complete. I get lots of decoupling on Sherman Hill when going downhill. Thanks for sharing.

9:42. A good run, and I got the cadence of the signals west of Speer. Thanks for doing the work.
