Backstory:

Deer would move in; taking territory and bringing disease; killing many Moose over the years.
But one Moose in particular had seen many of his brothers fall to the sickness the Deer brought with them.
He hated the Deer for what they had done to his kind.
Looking for food one day; he found some bones to chew on as most herbivores do.
But those bones held something; something awful.
A Prion disease.
The disease changed the Moose slowly.
First he was unable to eat what he usually did; vomiting after eating.
And his rage slowly grew.
2 days later; in a fit of rage the moose killed a raccoon; the blood getting in his mouth.
The Moose liked the taste and devoured the raccoons flesh.
The Moose then realised that meat was now what it needed; twigs and bark would no longer do.
He wasn't sick after eating it either; which was unusual since Moose can't eat meat.
The disease had changed him; he was now a carnivore.

After a few weeks of hunting and devouring raccoons, squirrels, etc; there was no more prey.
Nothing but him and the Deer he despised.
In desperation; the Moose charged a group of deer; stabbing them with his antlers, mauling them and killing them.
He ate their flesh.
And in that moment; his mind was made up.
The Deer would suffer.
He would bring bloody vengeance for all the brothers he had lost.
And he would eat well.
His genocide crusade had begun.
Rip and Tear.
