Ultimo Guerrero wrestled for a few years in Mexico under the names Halcón Dorado and Flanagan before changing his name to Ultimo Guerrero in 1996.

The following year, he debuted in CMLL and began to work his way up the card. He joined forces with El Satanico and Rey Bucanero in 1999 as Los Infernales before forming Los Guerreros del Infierno in 2001.

The stable changed its name to Los Guerreros de la Atlantida in 2005 and to Los Guerreros Laguneros in 2011. While serving as the leader of the stable, Ultimo Guerrero became the top heel in CMLL. He captured his first CMLL World Heavyweight Title in 2008 and held the title for over 2 1/2 years. His second reign with the belt began in late 2018 and is nearing the length of his first reign as of late 2020.

Guerrero lost his mask in 2014 in a mask vs. mask match against Atlantis.
