Europa Custom Retrofitters presents: The Heavy Patrol Craft. 6 Annihilator turrets sit atop articulated, ablative armor plating along the sides of the craft. Switching between two firing positions allows the craft to engage in a variety of targets, and to provide support in a wide variety of operational demands.

The standard 'Broadside' configuration is excellent for providing support and firepower to a smaller squadron of vessels while engaging larger targets, or for concentrated fire with a smaller firing arc. The 'Superiority' configuration, however, opens the craft's firing solution to a near spherical coverage, allowing it to engage in multiple targets from all directions on the battlefield while sacrificing damage output. This allows the Heavy Patrol Craft to dominate the battlefield in space dogfights and picket defense modes, while allowing the craft to punch above it's weight class in broadside mode and it's beefy defenses allow it to hold it's own even against most corvette class ships.

At just under 30m length, the Heavy Patrol Craft will fit most standard sized landing pads, and thus has seen extensive use throughout the mid rim in system defense forces. It's size and firepower allow it to fit many roles in such defense forces, from patrol force to armed personnel/prisoner shuttles to escort services. It has also gained quite a following with the opposite side of the law, seeing many notable ruffians turning the modest passenger cabin into living quarters.

A low powered jump drive gives the Heavy Patrol Craft a 25 ly range, extending it's zone of operation considerably. Its lack of sufficient crew quarters, however, makes it ill suited for long distance missions, or expeditions into the black. The extended range this allows makes the ship a highly competent armed shuttle, and also gives it a small role in larger naval fleets, serving as diplomatic escort ships, and in place as picket and anti-fighter roles. It has also been heard to be effective in black operations and in limited insertion and extraction missions, but it lacks any proper equipment hauling capabilities and is primarily limited to transportation of people and so is typically used to support dropship operations, and not as direct deployment vessels.
