Object 187

The Object 187 was a soviet main battle tank project based off of the T-72 and design contender to the T-90. It mounted a new 125mm gun in a turret that used very thick composite armour and advanced ERA, the hull itself was a heavily modified T-72 hull with the only recognisable shared feature really being the road wheels. The project ended up being abandoned after 6 versions had been built and the current simpler T-90 design used instead due to cost and replacement part concerns.
