How To Create, Share, and Download Custom Stages in Jelly Brawl (Steam Workshop)
For those more visually oriented I've made a quick guide video covering the same content

In update 1.3 of Jelly Brawl you can now easily share stages made with the in game level editor using steam workshop. For those who have not yet used the level editor yet, it uses a simple tile system that you can utilize to make your own stages to be used in the Custom mode of the game.

You start by naming your stage and then you can begin placing down tiles. Each tile belongs to a category of which you can navigate through by repeatedly placing tiles to see all tiles in the given category. After placing spawns for each of the four possible players we can either save and preview our stage or save and return to the menu. From the menu we can now upload our stage to the Steam Workshop by selecting the stage from the stage list and selecting Upload stage. We can then enter a description of our stage and then hit Upload. The process will take a second but after this we will receive an alert that the upload has succeeded.

We can check out the stage in the workshop and make any edits we want to the page at this point like add any screenshots or other notes. If you want to try out other users' stages, simply hit the subscribe button and this will trigger the stage to be downloaded and loaded into your game the next time the game loads. The Steam Workshop will only be available to those who have purchased the game through steam however manual stage sharing can also be done.

By navigating to the games data folder (from your steam library folder), there will be a folder called CustomStages. Inside this folder we can see our custom stages we’ve made stored as folders that we can zip up and send to others or share on the Jelly Brawl discord (Click Here to Join[discord.gg]). And we can also manually place in stages we download into this folder to be loaded the next time the game boots up.

As always with modding your game, do this at your own risk and it is possible for errors or issues to pop up. Feel free to DM me or post a bug report in the game’s discord with any issues you’re having and I’ll try to help you work them out. If you are trying to upload a stage you made prior to this update you will need to open the stage first in the editor and save it again in order for it to generate the new data it needs to work with the steam workshop.

Can’t wait to see what you all make and I hope to set up some mapping competitions as well as incorporate some of the best maps into future updates of the game.
