SILVER CYANIDE

As dangerous as it looks, silver cyanide is actually quite useful. You can use it to coat metallic objects in a thin layer of silver by running a current through it. Actually making it, though, is another thing entirely. The hexagonal structure makes things a little easier, but it's really easy to mess up that damn triple bond. I had a student a few years ago who thought "triple bond" meant using the triplex bonder. The entire college had to be quarantined for a week. So yeah, keep that thing away from your solution.
