Modular Wing [4.24]

Description

Background
As a holiday gift, I prepared this set of pieces that can be used to make wings of various shapes and sizes. More parts are in the works.

Usage Notes
  • These fixtures are designed to work with the help of 3D placement; without it, you will be unable to place most parts correctly.
  • Fixtures not under the wing category do not produce any downforce on their own nor add weight to cars in Beam. Endplates and vertical stabilizers, when used as intended, will add marginal amounts of downforce on their own.
  • The chrome diamond on the Adjustable Endplate Pin and Filled Slot fixtures is intended purely for reference purposes and should be made invisible after the fixture has been positioned as desired.
  • For higher downforce on a per-fixture basis, check out Borisu's RB Race Aero pack.
For reference:
  • 787B rear wing element: Straight Airfoil, Curved Profile, Thin, 1.75× length, 1.1× width, 2× thickness, +9° pitch
  • 787B rear wing stay spacing: ~240 mm (between inner surfaces)
  • Huracan GT3 rear wing stay spacing: ~850 mm (between inner surfaces)
  • M4 GTS rear wing stay spacing: ~840 mm (between inner surfaces)
  • NSX CONCEPT-GT rear wing element: Straight Airfoil, Curved Profile, Thin, 1× length, 0.74× width, 2× thickness, -6° pitch
  • NSX CONCEPT-GT rear wing stay spacing: ~420 mm (between inner surfaces)

Kibōchen 10 Feb, 2022 @ 2:37pm
I spoke to Stig and he said "it's a matter of time", so probably at some point later when 4.27 is more stable
Bŭƴø 9 Feb, 2022 @ 11:44pm
Any plans to put this in 4.27?

Whoops...
An ID issue with an unselectable variant of the Mercedes-AMG One fins has been fixed.
The Stig Is A Spy  [author] 18 Jan, 2021 @ 4:26pm
@Connor Levy Found the issue: if angled steeply enough, wing element pieces produce practically no downforce (likely due to a taller hitbox than just a wing element would suggest).

I mentioned it to the devs, and they said the issue should be fixed as part of a coming update to aero on Beam exports.

@Connor Levy Thanks for letting me know. I will run some more tests within the next day or two.

It does seem to be all of them, as the "straight element" has the same issue.
Connor Levy 18 Jan, 2021 @ 9:04am
I used one of the "curved element" fixtures and it does not work. I'm not sure if other elements work or not, but the first curved element does not.
