Description
This is a script mod that changes the following files:
- weapon_357.dmx
- weapon_crossbow.dmx
- weapon_crowbar.dmx
- weapon_glock.dmx
- weapon_mp5.dmx
- weapon_shotgun.dmx
- skill.cfg

What does this mod do?

- All weapons do more damage, including NPCs who are now on par with the player.
- Vortigaunts attack faster.
- Aliens do FAR more damage, so keep your distance!
- Tanks, aircraft, and other heavy armor NPCs have been tweaked to play nicely with the new balance changes.
- You can only carry about 1 magazine per ammo type (my attempt at making Gordon's massive arsenal make a little more sense and be more balanced).
- You swing the crowbar more slowly (to represent its weight).
- All NPCs are deadlier, faster, and more accurate with weapons.
- All explosives do more damage
- Frag grenades have a shorter fuse and a larger radius (to represent shrapnel).
- RPGs are the highest damaging explosive, but have the least radius (the RPG is an anti-armor weapon that focuses on penetrating heavy materiel rather than taking out groups of personnel).
- SMG grenades are a compromise between the frag and RPG, exploding on impact but lacking significant radius. Still does more than enough damage to wipe out any infantry. SMG grenades have also been tweaked to have more gravity and less velocity, making them feel weightier (and closer to the OG HL1 grenades).
- The glock is more accurate.
- The shotgun has been completely overhauled and geared towards close quarters combat in tight choke points. This was achieved by increasing bullet falloff (or decreasing range), increasing pellet load, increasing pellet spread, and decreasing damage per pellet. The double shot has also been made more unique because when you use it, your damage is boosted, but your range goes even lower, making it a good option for adding a little extra punch to a point blank shot (enough to 1-shot an alien grunt).

This mod feels like being in the situation of John Wick without having the skill of John Wick

Basically it's a huge challenge, and that's what it set out to be, so good job.

so basically I made the value longer and it did nothing.

since I got a mp5 faster fire rate mod and the value it changed was a float value and they decreased it so I copied their mod but made it faster yet it did not work

also how do you even make the weapons have slower fire rate since I have been trying to make a smg that does more damage while also being slower to be on par with a assault rifle (yes I know the M4a1 fires 900 rpm which is faster than even the default BM smg)

This mod just makes it feel life you aren't in a H.E.V. suit, it can be fun but the one clip thing is a pain on weapons like the SMG,
