OpenSR Modpack

Description
A collection of bugfixes and improvements compiled as part of the Open Star Ruler project. Compatible with OpenSR and all commercial versions of the game.

The Modpack can be used either as a standalone mod, or as a dependency for other mods to inherit from. See the OpenSR Modder's Guide for details.

Current version: v1.1.0

  • AI improvements by dolynick, sol-oriens, and Skeletonxf
  • Assorted bugfixes
  • Assorted minor improvements
  • Bromma and Farum shipsets by Jon Micheelsen, previously limited to open-source versions of the game

Steam guides are probably the closest we've got to a coherent resource. Most of the time, knowledge is passed informally through the Discord chat.

Sofar i had some trouble to get a good wiki or reference book for the game, any source you would advice to read?

You can use tractor beams to move asteroids and fling beacons.

Thanks for the mod(s). Also if anyone is still modding Star Ruler, i would humbly ask to implement the follwoing suggestion. Making Asteroids flingable. Especially the permanent once as iits a shame to leave them behind when my system of planets moves on.

I guess it maybe too imbalanced to be able to fling Fling Beacons, still would be great to build in one system several and then fling them all over the galaxy as a preparation for a campaign so to speak.

I did what you told me to do, like a good soldier, and I unsubscribed to CP and subscribed to this mod. However, I can't get it to "Enable" in the game. You know how the game will tell you why it won't enable ( on the right window), well, it won't tell me why it won't enable. But the Enable button is greyed out for this mod.
I am also getting the issue with some mods telling me they are not compatible with this version of SR. I can still Enable them though. 🤣 Oddly, they were compatible, but now they aren't when I unsubscribed to CP. They are not important mods to me, but they are "nice to have" mods. Do I subscribe to CP AND this MOD?

Unfortunately, as usual, college took the wind out of my sails. I don't have much hope of releasing the next RS update before this summer.
