Seems to be actively causing crashes now since 2.3.1 sadly.

Apparently this has been causing some errors. I'll try and look at it before the end of the month.

Jokes aside this might actually pretty good for better effects. I like the idea of ships making a huge explosion when killed rather than just kind of losing function and drifting away.
