Synthetic Perfection

Description
Ever feel like there aren't that many good Ascension Perks for machine intelligence empires? Well, now there's one more that is a followup to the vanilla Synthetic Age ascension perk: Synthetic Perfection. This perk gives you another bonus to trait points and species modification speed, as well as unlocking some new traits for your machines via a technology unlocked by the ascension perk. The new traits are:
  • Machine Harmony Protocols: -15% empire sprawl from pops.
  • Quantum Processors: +15% resources from jobs.
  • Recycling Subroutines: -25% robot upkeep.
  • Prefabricated Parts: +25% pop assembly speed.
More traits might be added later if I have any good ideas.

Obviously not achievement compatible. Probably compatible with other mods that add perks, put something in the comments if you encounter issues.

Update 2021-09-30: Updated for 3.1.x (Lem).

Update 2021-10-10: Increased extra trait points from 1 to 3 to better match the second tier of biological ascension that this is meant to mimic. 1 was a bit underwhelming.

can I make this work for a synthetic evolution race or is it machine empires only?

Have you considered adding a trait that grants a bonus trait to leaders the way psychic, synthetic and erudite do for organic empires (or at least ones that started out organic)?

@Doze14 There is a mod called Machine Leader Repairer that adds events which allows you to repair your machine leaders. Don't think it should be part of this mod.

@NBUIJBT: Thanks for the idea about empire sprawl. I've added a trait for this now (Machine Harmony Protocols). Unfortunately, modifying deviancy with a trait is more difficult and will take further research.

@Doze14: As with deviancy above, modifying this is more involved - it would require modifying the event that controls random breakdown of robot leaders. I will investigate it further and consider if this is within the scope of what I want this mod to be.

It would be cool if there was a trait that reduced empire sprawl from pops and the deviancy they generate. Would be real helpful for mid/late game empires where deviancy starts becoming a real nuance.

Maybe add a trait that allows you to stop machine empire leaders from randomly breaking down as an option.

And maybe a robot spiecies that can feel, be happy or angry like a bio-spiecies, because the bio-things are still there... like in Perry Rhodans books.
