Description
The following winter landscape is based on a coastline characterized by archipelagos, such as in Norway, Iceland, Greenland or Canada. It's a landscape dotted with mountains, but still contains enough flat land to build a large city. Just imagine if a glacier had flattened the land during the Ice Age, while the unyielding mountains remained.

There is one peculiarity about the map: you start on one of at most two map squares that are part of the "mainland" - the other is almost uninhabitable because of the mountainous landscape. This means that sooner or later, most of the city is located on the neighboring main island and is not directly accessible. Of course, the game doesn't prevent you from simply building a long bridge to the island. However, the challenge is to do without it and work with ferries. Accordingly, the transport of goods must be carried out through ports and airports.

The name suggests that it is an Icelandic landscape and translates as "Skadi's Islands" (in Nordic beliefs, Skadi is the goddess of winter and hunting). There are a few features to discover on the map that hint at the islands' past, but some of them are outside the purchasable area. Except for the peculiarity that it is a winter landscape, the map contains a bit of everything and is therefore beginner-friendly.
