Simple Warhammer 40k

Description
PSA: This mod isn't actively updated right now. The primary reason is that I need an efficient way to work with the collision meshes of objects. Until I find a solution or TTS adds that, I will not be working on this mod because honestly I find it incredibly frustrating to work around that missing feature. If you know of a solution other than "make a custom asset bundle in unity and just make the collision box really small", please let me know! I would be massively grateful!

What this is: A very simple and easy to use platform for playing 9th edition 40k on TTS.

Includes:

63 High quality battlemats composed of:
- 27 Incursion battlemats (30" x 44")
- 22 Strike Force battlemats (60" x 44")
- 14 Onslaught battlemats (90" x 44")

Overlay Mission System with which the deployment zones, objectives, objective range circles, and other mission-pertinent zones for any given mission can be unobtrusively added atop any battlemat with a single mouse drag. includes complete mission detail pages for each. There are 24 matched play mission overlays made exactly to official specification, composed of:
-3 Combat Patrol missions (Eternal War mission pack, 9th edition core book)
-9 Incursion missions (Grand Tournament 2020 mission pack, Chapter Approved)
-9 Strike Force missions (Grand Tournament 2020 mission pack, Chapter Approved)
-3 Onslaught missions (Eternal War mission pack, 9th edition core book)

WTC 2021 Terrain map overlays (maps with 3d terrain coming soon)

5 terrain layout presets:
-Strike Force size:
--"Alien Ruins"
--"Block War"
--"Outpost Assault"
-Incursion Size:
-"Alien Ruins"
-"Block War"
(more coming soon!)

17 Bespoke secondary Objective reference cards for all of the generic secondary objectives
-4 Purge the Enemy
-4 No Mercy, No Respite
-3 Battlefield Supremacy
-3 Shadow Operations
-3 Warpcraft

Robust and easy to use dice roller, courtesy of Gatosec.

Over a hundred fresh terrain pieces with the following themes:
-Overgrown Rocks
-Sandstone Ruins
-Alien Flora
-Lunar Outpost
-Desert Rocks
-City streets
-Industrial
(More coming soon!)

Counters for Turn, and each player's command & victory points

FAST system:
Fully Automatic Terrain Setup is a collection of pre made terrain setups. These are built to be compatible with any mission of the appropriate board size. There will be different versions of each map theme for each game size. When fully implemented players should be able to set up a full table in seconds.

My current goal is to make at least 3 FAST each for Onslaught and Incursion/Combat patrol size maps, and 6 maps for strike force (as that is where the majority of games seem to be played). I'll add more over time after, but I consider that a good starting goal.

How to use:

1) place a battlemat on the center of the board (it will snap to center, or any of the other four centerline gridpoints)

2) Lock the mat in place (press "L", or right click -> edit toggles)

3) place mission overlay on top

4) Lock mission overlay

5) Place (and then lock) terrain as normal

Missions and battlefields are in bags at one end of the map - they can be selected individually by right clicking and searching, or you can press "R" to randomize them and then drag from the bag to draw a random mission/battlefield.

Terrain and models not included (but are already abundant elsewhere on the workshop). Mission Overlays feature objective locations and objective zones to cut down on annoying measurements during play. Missions have their complete special rules and objectives, as well as generic secondary objectives, but do not contain the full rules for matched play - refer to the Chapter Approved Grand Tournament 2020 book. Alternatively the details can be found at http://wahapedia.ru/wh40k9ed/the-rules/grand-tournament-2020/

Thumbs up the dice roller at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2295141577

More missions/battlemats will be added as I make them. Battlemats are screenshots I've taken from videogames, and the mission templates/reference cards are all made by me. All Images uploaded by me (except for the one on the dice roller), meaning that you don't have to worry about sketchy sites giving you "Website blocked due to trojan" warnings (or worse).
Feel free to steal the mission templates etc :).

Update 2/8/2021
-Added the 24 WTC terrain tables with 3d terrain (in the strike force area click WTC tables, then select a table from the row corresponding to your mission and hit "place")
-added several more battlemats for all sizes
-changed all battlemats and missions to use states so that plyers can randomize or select battlemats & missions more easily
-Made the table look cooler

To Do/Coming Soon list:
-Quick setup buttons
-More robust score system
-More FAST layouts!
-Tactical Deployment support (man this play mode is underrated)
-Replace battlemats with asset bundles so they can have normal maps (ie, battlemap details will react to lighting)
-Make a new player tutorial (I have an idea for an at least semi-interactive tutorial system)
-Faction Secondary reference cards
-Mission Secondary reference cards

Please leave a comment if you would like to report any bugs, make any suggestions, or have a feature idea! This sort of feedback is invaluable for making the mod as good as it can be, and is greatly appreciated! :)

Positive: Simple mod for playing 40k in 1k/+ pts format or for playing patrol combat.

Negative: A truly lousy dice roller. The dice don't roll. You can cheat by seeing the dice roll on the board by spamming the roll button.

If you want a good dice roller, I can suggest the one from Poro's "Age of Sigmar 4th Edition Table" mod.

@pubmaster32 at the moment there are no hard plans to make 10th ed content. Its something I would love to do, but unfortunately I don't have a lot of spare time I can use for stuff that doesn't generate income. I still hope to revitalize this mod or do a version 2, but life is pretty full right now and I am focusing on the boring stuff for now

Are there plans to add the deployment options for the 10th edition?
Some are the same shapes and things as before but have the objective circles placed differently
