Description:
Renovated from its former version as an amateur course, this lakeside getaway in Germany's Black Forest gives a great view of the Schluchsee reservoir and the eponymous town on the opposite bank, as well as featuring a long and bumpy unpaved section.

Development:
Like Cassandra, Draco Cavernae is a re-imagining of a track from the now-dead Wipeout fan game SlipstreamGX. The original concept for this track dates back to around 2012, when SlipstreamGX was still being actively developed. The idea came from a now-deleted user on the WipeoutZone Forum, and was made into a playable track by Xpand. I developed this version of Draco Cavernae over the winter of 2020-2021, taking elements from the original SSGX version and using Cassandra as a reference for how to adapt the track to BNG. I got a Blender scene for a partially finished remake from Xpand, and lifted the meshes for the tower and the dragon statue from that. My version is similar in layout to the original, but makes the cave much more visible from the track, with a new statue of an Amphithere (legless dragon) right in front. In the Spring of 2024, I completely remodeled the track's scenery to bring it more in line with BNG's modern tracks.
