Description
NOTE: This grid will function with thruster damage ON. The internal layout is carefully arranged so no blocks are damaged by the thrusters.

The Su-125 "Yastreb" (Hawk) is an all-environment SSTO strike fighter created by the Sukhoi Design Bureau in the year 2077 to provide anti-ship, anti-armor, and anti-aircraft capabilites both planetside and in space. Incorporating advanced sensors and extreme maneuverability as well as packing an explosive punch, the Su-125 is intended as a cheap and reliable option for short-ranged precision strikes.

The Su-125 is a single-pilot hydrogen/atmospheric thruster powered aircraft. It comes with 6 missiles included in external carriage, although these can be swapped out for other payloads if you so desire. It features parachutes to assist with reentry, and is capable of breaking out of the gravity well of any celestial body.

No subgrids. No mods. Designed to be practical for survival use.

For survival use, please note: The missiles will require to be loaded individually with a little uranium; their reactor port is on the bottom. I have included a projector that can be used to easily re-weld missiles after firing. I do not recommend launching missiles on Earthlike or similar without significant airspeed or altitude, as their ion thrusters are weakened by strong gravity fields.

I used RSC Fornax as a missile target.

Ignore my previous comment, I had production and storage efficiency turned down. With the typical 3.00 settings, it's good.

Looks good, flies well, has like 5 minutes of flight time in 1G before it runs out of fuel. 😄
Still gets you a thumbs-up though, I do like it and I suspect it'll be a lot better in space.

Weird, I'll check it out the next time I get the chance- scripts are enabled in your world, right?
Soullessgod3 20 Feb, 2021 @ 7:22pm
yeah i built it with build and repair

lock is only required in fire and forget turret guided and camera modes (which only will work against enemy grids); if you are in beam riding mode no lock is required but you will have to guide the missiles by pointing the camera at the target.

You can switch between any of these modes by pressing button 4 in toolbar 2, it should show you which is selected in the cockpit LCD

Nevermind I see they have to lock on now

How can I launch the missiles? I cant figure out how to.

yeah, couldn't fit glass cuz of keen's terribly huge seat model, I have come to regret using the projection. Fighter cockpit fits just fine instead
