Hope you played the pc version later so you get the intended experience.
Remaster on Steam is great, very highly recommended!
But Red Alert the sounds are identical in all versions. :)
I played Retaliation last year, in PSXE emulator, to compare it to the PC original.
Except game menus, and less colours, the port was identical to the pc version.
if you played it with mouse on PS, you literally almost played the original game. :)
