Description
OUTDATED

Attention: There is currently a bug with the periscope that may interfere with camera navigation in multiplayer games. If the drone does not respond properly to camera inputs, please switch to steering via nav terminal.

Here is a Kastrull with the ROVER attached if you do not wish to install it on a custom submarine: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2361931155

The Remote Operated Vehicle for Emergency Rescue is a long range support drone intended for the rescue and resuscitation of injured divers. Incorporating a multitude of technological features, the Type B is the first commercially available model targeted for widespread use in Europa's harsh conditions.

Features include:
- Toggle between navigation terminal and camera guided steering.
- A throttle system for camera guidance.
- Extendable and retractable suction arm.
- Short-range bio-metric scanner capable of locating and tracking humans within 250 m.
- Automatic steroid injection system that activates upon patient retrieval.
- Double click activated discharge coil (when using periscope).

Chat commands: switch to radio channel 3 to use.

- "dock": Initiates docking when the drone is near a docking port.
- "ext": Extends the suction arm.
- "rtc": Retracts the suction arm.
- "close": Force closes the bottom hatch and locks it until the command is issued again.
- "inj": Immediately deploys a steroid syringe into the cabin.
- "tsyringe": Toggles on/off automatic syringe injection, a yellow warning light will show if it is toggled off.

Maintenance information:

Several systems on the drone requires frequent maintenance or refilling, which are outlined in the diagram in the slide show. The drone body is highly resistant to collision damage and hence hull repairs are not necessary. IMPORTANT: Turn off automatic steroid injection before performing maintenance.

Search and rescue procedures:

- It is recommended for any EVA crew member to carry a sonar beacon.
- Toggle steering mode to navigation terminal and steer to sonar beacon, or the patient's last known location.
- If a signature has been captured by the SBS, toggle to camera steering at operator's discretion.
- Follow SBS tracking by manoeuvring in parallel to the direction indicated by the SBS.
- If the SBS lighting suddenly cuts off, it is likely that the patient is within visual range, in which case it is advisable to slow down.
- If necessary, deploy suction arm. IMPORTANT: When extending or retracting arm, attempt to maintain zero velocity. If arm separates from the drone body, hover next to it to re-attach.
- Gently manoeuvre arm under the patient and attempt to scoop the body up.
- If the patient is stuck in the opening to the cabin attempt the following:
1. Retract the suction arm (this will push the patient up to some extent).
2. Apply moderate downwards throttle.
3. Force close the bottom hatch using "close" command.
- When patient is inside the cabin, it is recommended to manually inject a syringe using "inj" command, as the auto-injector may miss the first shot.
- If encountering hostile creatures, double click to use discharge coil. A fully charged supercapacitor can deliver 3 shocks consecutively. However, using the engine to grind any tailing creatures is often a more effective strategy.

Hey lads do whatever you want with it, I'm too lazy to update my old builds so I'd actually appreciate it a lot if someone could do something with them.

Hey there! Ik this drone is a bit aged now however I'd like to ask if I could make use of a heavily edited version of your Rover in an upcoming sub me and the team around Decotrauma are going to be designing! I think it would be an excellent fit for it, I just wanted to get your input on it first as it would be a pretty heavy makeover of it, but still very similar.

there can be some problems with explaing to crew wtf is this? but buttons has no such misadvantages though

Thank you! Theoretically you can, but you'd have to remove a series of signal checks and regexes and then link the relevant Wi-fis to shipboard Wi-fis and then buttons. If you really need those buttons, I can probably find time to make a modified version.

crazy work- bravo. is it possible to make commands by buttons and not by txt commands?

that sounds pretty cool, go ahead!
