Sacramento, CA

Description
The capital of the state of California, Sacramento lies at the confluence of the American and Sacramento rivers. It is the oldest incorporated city in the state, founded shortly after the California Gold Rush started.

The modern city and metro region are home to a diverse set of industries as well as many commuters to the San Francisco Bay Area.

In addition to the Sacramento Valley Rail Station, which serves several Amtrak lines, the metro area is served by three light rail and many bus lines.

Features:
This map features most of the metro area of Sacramento, from Davis in the west to Folsom in the east. The two California Amtrak lines, Capitol Corridor and San Joaquin, are both present as permanent lines. The Capitol Corridor stops in Davis, Sacramento, and Roseville. The San Joaquin terminates in Sacramento.

You'll build light rail lines in the communities around the Sacramento Valley, crossing the Sacramento and American rivers as well as the Amtrak lines many times.

You have up to eight light rail lines, which can each hold four trains. You start with three bridges, though you'll find that you'll want more soon. Oh, and upgrading the Amtrak stations may be helpful.

Achievements:
Gold Rush: Transport 5000 Passengers in the Sacramento Metro Area.
SCRT: Transport 2000 Passengers in the Sacramento Metro Area on no more than three lines.
Lighter Rail: Transport 2500 Passengers in the Sacramento Metro Area with no carriages.
Amtrak Avoidant: Transport 3000 Passengers in the Sacramento Metro Area with no more than three lines connected to a square station.
End-to-End: Transport 3500 Passengers in the Sacramento Metro Area with no loop lines

It's nice to see that someone made this! I had thought about trying it forever ago but never got around to figuring out mapmaking.

Thank you!
I wasn't sure of balance much, but I like maps where you transport thousands of passengers, so it seemed good. I also found it interesting to have to cross the permanent lines at various points beside the square station, it wasn't something I liked at first, but it grew on me.
I'm hoping to have another map out sometime soon.

I adore this map. Playable for hours and with different strategies. Arising stations and resources are fairly balanced. If only more maps could be like this.
Well done and thank you.
