Description
Pathfinder Utility Vehicle II is a variant of the original Pathfinder Utility Vehicle that is a small-grid, heavy-lift, all-purpose craft designed for high-gravity planets such as Omicron with its 1.9g gravitational acceleration. With the advent of higher hydrogen efficiency, this variant replaces one of the two large hydrogen tank with a second large cargo container to increase cargo capacity in environments that do not need the original design's larger hydrogen gas reserves.

This design is mod-less and uses no rotors or pistons, so building from a blueprint in survival mode is straightforward. Pathfinder Utility Vehicle II has two large cargo containers, and is capable of both planetary flight using its atmospheric thrusters and space flight using its ion thrusters without the use of its hydrogen thrusters, so its versatility and flight time is greatly enhanced. Two gatling guns and a gatling turret provide a modicum of offensive and defensive protection.

A forward-facing camera has been added to allow the ship to be piloted remotely.

NOTES FOR BUILDING WITH A PROJECTOR IN SURVIVAL MODE
1. Build a large-grid rotor on a powered grid; remove the large rotor head and replace with a small rotor head.
2. Build one or two armor blocks on top of the small rotor head to allow adequate vertical clearance, then build a small-grid projector on top of the top armor block.
3. Load the blueprint; the projector's default settings align with a bottom conveyor block near the ship's front; set the vertical alignment to -1 to properly align the projector below the block's surface (see the last picture).
4. To allow for easier repairs, check the projector's dialog box for "keep projection".
5. Once the ship is completely built, remove the armor blocks and rotor, keeping the projector in-place for repairs.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Tested extensively in hostile NPC environments, Pathfinder Utility Vehicle II has become my favorite ship for progressing my bases into an advanced survival setting. My first trips to space, without completed ion thrusters, allow me to carry sufficient parts to space to set up an off-world refinery complex and/or mine and retrieve large quantities of platinum and uranium. With those materials I can complete the ion thrusters giving the ship even more versatility in space, not to mention the added power from the four small reactors. Because this ship can mine ore on planets as effortlessly as in space, it's definitely my do-everything ship.

Thanks. This is my go-to ship every time in survival. Yeah, I often have to build everything but the ion thrusters until I get to space and mine some platinum, but it'll get there just fine on what it's got. It's truly one of the best utility ships I've built.

Soo that miner can go to space as well??? Well well looks like I have something good to use now...
