Ranger I

The Ranger class SSTO's are certified for Single-Stage-To-Martian-Surface without refueling. It is fairly easy to land on Mars, where you will have to refuel to be able to get back home.
This is the first Ranger, meaning it isn't as good as the other ones.

*Flight Path*
Step 1: Press 2 To Start The R.A.P.I.E.R.'s
Step 2: Take Off. You will be able to take off when going over 100m/s.
Step 3: Pitch up at an angle of attack of about 15-20 degrees.
Step 4: When you start to loose speed, pitch down to get closer to the prograde marker, do this very slowly.
Step 5: When you are going over 440m/s, stop pitching down. You will accellerate faster now.
Step 6: If you are going to crash into the surface, pitch upwards very slowly as to not loose speed.
Step 7: When going about 550m/s pitch up at an angle of attack of about 20 degrees.
Step 8: When crossing the 20 000m mark, switch mode on the R.A.P.I.E.R.'s by pressing AG[1] for the best effect.
Step 9: When crossing the 25 000m-30 000m mark, turn on the Nuclear Engines and keep a close eye on the resource panel, for when the oxidizer gets under 150 units, turn off the R.A.P.I.E.R.'s by pressing AG[1] and AG[2].
Step 10: Spacetravel

*Controls*
DO NOT USE STAGING ON THIS CRAFT, IT WILL NOT WORK IF YOU STAGE. USE THE ACTION GROUPS.

AG[1] - Swich Mode For R.A.P.I.E.R.'s
AG[2] - Toggle R.A.P.I.E.R.'s
AG[3] - Toggle Nerv Atomic Rocket Motor
AG[4] - Toggle Ladder
AG[5] - Toggle Solar Panel + Toggle Antenna
AG[6] - Toggle Back-Gear1 (Don't use for landing)
AG[7] - Toggle Back-Gear2 (Use for landing)
