Uranium on Asteroids Near Planets and Moons
8 items
Description
Is the process of finding uranium on nearby asteroids getting you down? Not to worry, mate!

It's simple, really. This 2-block build contains a small cargo container topped with an LCD panel that lists the GPS locations for 90 asteroids with uranium near Pertam. If you spawn this blueprint in using Creative Mode, you'll find 7 datapads in the cargo container, 6 with a listing of 14 GPS locations and the 7th that has 6 GPS locations); 90 total. If you build this blueprint from a projector, simply build the LCD panel to get the listing. Then copy each 14-line group of GPS coordinates from the LCD panel into a datapad (one group at a time, or using 7 datapads).

From the active datapad, simply highlight all 14 entries and click on "Create GPS Marker". You'll need to go into your GPS listing and double-click them one at a time to make them active. That's it.

Note: This list only applicable to the vanilla Star System, not spawned-in planets since that will change the location of asteroids that spawn. Furthermore, this list is intended to be reasonably comprehensive, but it's certainly not complete. I'm sure there are additional asteroids with uranium that I didn't find, and certainly more the farther out you travel. In general, I limited my searching to under 60 kilometers from the planet's surface.

If you start a new game, then go to "Custom Game", then choose "Star System", no matter where you start with "Star System", on a planet, or on a moon, or in space, all the asteroids will be in the same place with the same ore(s) every time.

... required Star System

which value exactly has to be 0?
Because if I take it over, it would have to fit on my mod server too, right? that would then quasi load the same positions ... thought about it correctly?

The reason is because the games uses a seed of "0" to spawn the asteroids. Since the seed never changes, the asteroids always spawn the same ores at the same locations.

If you play "Star System" where the planets are already placed by the game (in other words, you don't spawn in Mars or Alien or any of the other planets or moons and place them somewhere randomly), then the asteroids I've identified will always be in the same place. Always.

is the spawn of a asteroid alltime same? i think ever the spawn is random`?

Far from it. Just a guy trying to be helpful. But I'm glad you like it.
