Description
California & Western Nevada.

It's 1850, last year a bunch of yahoos sailed around the straits of Magellan or otherwise crawled onto the soil of California in search of Gold (rumours not discouraged by opportunistic land speculators. Of course it wasn't theirs to sell, not that the owners of the land could hope to defend against the incoming gold crazed mob). Some struck it rich. Others not so much... you are smarter than that of course. You see that the money is in logistics...

It won't be easy, it won't be cheap. The Central Valley is the fruit basket of North America, but getting that food over the Sierra Nevada & bringing raw materials back the other way will present a challenge.

A vast fortune awaits if you pull it off.

Map created with base game assets only.

Megalomanic 1:2, Arid, USA
Created with intel i7, Nvidia RTX 2080, 32gb ram.
Looks fantastic with "Morning Light" mod & expanded render distance. If your machine can handle it. I tried to keep the trees thick enough to be convincing while not blowing up your GPU (damn Acacia tree model... you have no idea how that one tree type can chew through vram).

Don't forget to include Wenatchee please.

I think that I could do that at some point, next on my 'to do' is a ground up do over of my Canadian Rockies map as I am not happy with is anymore now that I know how to do hightmaps better. From south of Portland up to Seattle and Vancouver would probably be the scale I'd do.

I don't suppose I could talk you into making a map of the Pacific Northwest? I'm trying to make one, but you've got skills I don't.

I didn't intend it to be super easy; if you want a good starting point, food to Sacramento, ferries in San Francisco, LA to San Diego Passenger. "It won't be easy, it won't be cheap", but boy is it rewarding to pull off when you do.

Great map, but very difficult to play with the way the industries are set up.
