Wild Dino Speed Leveling

Description
Every creatures gain movement speed based on their hidden movement speed levels (hidden buff), in vanilla this value is ignored. Can be used to "breed for speed" and works with mutations

Does NOT affect boss characters

This mod can be stacked with other mods.

By default the value of the speed multiplier per hidden movement speed level is 0.02(2%) but you can edit this value by adding these two lines in your GameUserSettings.ini with the value you want:

[WildDinoSpeedLeveling]
PerLevelSpeedMultiplier=0.02

I made this for myself and want to share it with the community, maybe I will give you support if you use it or maybe not ;)

First mod I made BTW :D

Enjoy!

This mod is cool, but keep in mind it has trade-offs

It removes additive effects, so low level dinos will sometimes slower than their wild counterparts.
Deinonychus are an example, which get a 20% additive bonus. Under this mod, they now are 100% + (amount_per * levels), which means that a level 70 deinonychus with 10 points into movement speed will be 120%, only matching what they would have been anyway.

The other thing that I have noticed is I think imprinting loses its effect on movement speed as well. I have a 100% imprinted level 166 deinonychus with 24 points into movement speed, and it is at 124% speed (I have it at 1%). That adds up to only be the 1% per level, and not the +20% from taming, and also missing the 1.25x (1.2x normally) of imprinting.

It works for many dinos, but if you are breeding and imprinting, it can be a net negative in many cases.

@0o0_MadTek_0o0 can you remake this mode for ARK Ascended?

hey! Ive seen other comments saying their tamed dinos speed is reverting to default, but this actually isnt happening for me, I would like my wild dinos speedy but my tamed dinos default, am I doing something wrong? Ive tried everything from using the in game settings to changing my ini files

I think thats normal zim, the mods purely for wild speed, however it does still let you level speed on tames

Awesome mod, may have found a bug with the steggo as it seems to revert to base speed when you start to put levels into it tamed, note that the wild steggos receive the speed bonus but then loose it when tamed

I would love this mod to be on ASA also, there's nothing that affects wild speed quite like this mod does

Applying speed to wild dino's is a drastic change in itself, adding specific dino's should be possibly, but I doubt it's easy

Your mod is excellent, but I'm looking for a mod that can change the base speed of specific dinos. I wanted to nerff the movement speed of some dino mods that I think are broken, like Feroxus, which is a very fast creature for its size.
