Description
After leaving the WWF, John Tenta, formerly known as Earthquake, debuted in WCW as Avalanche, a member of the Three Faces of Fear.

Avalanche feuded with Sting, Randy Savage, and Hulk Hogan for several months, but always ended up on the losing end in big matches.

After threats from the WWF of legal action due to the Avalanche gimmick being so similar to his previous Earthquake one, Tenta changed his name to The Shark.
