Know This - A Prelude

Description
READ FIRST: A few people told me at first they thought the "sparse nature" of the module was a mistake. And that it wasn't detailed enough. Trust me when I say, keep playing... it'll start to make sense.

This is a satire of Neverwinter Nights that I used to teach myself more about module building and scripting, but also... it's an awkward prelude to something much, much bigger. If you don't enjoy difficult point and click adventures and meta humor, no offense taken if this really isn't your cup of tea. This is also my first module as an adult, I made some really horrible modules as a kid that this community was REALLY kind about, so thank you community; ya'll are awesome people.

You can spend thirty minutes playing, if you wish, have a few chuckles... and call it a day. You can also play for a couple hours attempting to figure out what the heck is really going on, and find an actual proper story that leads to the first chapter. If you're OCD like me, also feel free to wait until the first chapter release if you want a clean play-through.

Level: 1 - 3 (New Character Recommended)
Class: Any
Players: Solo
Length 1 to 3 hours, depending how curious you are.
DM: Fun to watch, but not required.

This is not a hack and slash, so please don't come in and zoom through the dialogue and kill random people. I mean, you can do whatever you want. But this is heavy on the Role Play. As said above; this "prelude" is more like a point and click adventure. Pretty much everything in the game you can examine. Players are HIGHLY encouraged to talk to NPCs more than once, examine everything you're curiouos about, and really treat the module like a point and click. I'm more than happy to take constructive feedback as again... this is my first module as an adult. After this, I really hope to create an epic adventure that may one day add to the pantheon of awesome modules this community has created. I also hope that those of you playing this module have a few laughs and find yourself curious about how it could possibly lead to a series based in Fearun.

Thank you for your time.

I believe I did, yeah. It took a little bit of figuring out, but I made it to the end! You mean the campfire in the little study/library room, right? It was a couple weeks since I played, so it's not fresh in my mind. But I did finish it. :)

Thanks for the feedback Jorvach! It is indeed a mindscrew meant to entertain. The follow up modules will be much more of an epic adventure where the humor isn't at the forefront. I'm curious, were you able to make it to the end of the prelude? Without spoiling anything for anyone, did you make it to the campfire?

Downloaded this module off the Vault, and it was interesting! Also a giant mindscrew, but interesting nonetheless.
I'm definitely looking forward to the next part!

Hey guys, this is a test upload. And sort of a test module to get me back into coding. Please let me know if I've done anything wrong. However, do note that this prelude is heavy on the meta humor, and some mistakes in narrative are actually jokes. I included a screenshot from Chapter 1 to show that it has much more substance and narrative. Please let me know if the Workshop Upload worked! It is of course also on NWN Vault.
