Description
Welcome to the Enhanced Institutions mod!

This mod changes all institutions to produce more historical technology levels over the course of a game and make the institutions themselves more interesting. The new institutions are set up to spawn every 30 years instead of every 50. Because there are more countries that fulfill the spawn conditions in Europe, you can expect around 80 percent of institutions to spawn there.

In addition, most institutions can be spawned in your Capital if you fulfill conditions similar to their spawn conditions. To balance this, institution spread is generally slower. The intention is to have institutions spread quickly to countries that have invested in related mechanics (e.g. army professionalism), while other countries have to wait for a while.
There are minor changes to Ages in order to line up with the new institutions.

This mod is not Ironman compatible.

The mod has been updated for 1.33.3.

Sorry, but I am done with EU4. There will not be an update. But feel free to change the mod as you like.

Yep, it still works mostly perfect. For whatever reason local organizations(holy order/assign pasha/hire janissaries) options in state tab are not working. So yeah, might as well dissable Golden Century dlc or ignore the missing functionality. 🤞 For an update

@Angel what a boatload of cope. Europe was the richest continent per capita already in the 1500s, long before they got to "pillage" other continents. There is research on this.

The only decently realistic non-Eurocentric mod that could be created is one where China does not become so isolationist, discovers North America, and becomes a hegemon to rival European powers

Can someone please make a mod that isn't so European centric, I'd like to see more variation in my game. Europe was more blood thirsty in addition to some lucky incidents, but they weren't always more technologically advanced. I mean Indians invented ROCKETS and were raining them on the invading British who had never seen rockets before!
I tried making my own personal mod for institutions, but it kept crashing and I eventually gave up.

hi, is it normal for institutions to be late? standing armies is late by 18 years atm.

a historical though? China and India were actually well ahead of Europe until the industrial revolution in the 1800s, which barely gets touched in this game.

Institution penalties are part of the technology definitions in adm, dip and mil in the technolgies folder. There is probably a modding guide out there that can help you get started on changing those.

i have question: you added penalties for not embraced institutions for military technologies - which files did you change? or may be new file? or i need to add some lines to existing file?... please, help
