Star Trek: U.S.S. Prometheus

Description
This is a scaled down CV based off the U.S.S. Prometheus from the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Message in a Bottle."

Please remember to "Like/Thumbs Up" this page if you enjoyed this build!

This is actually my second attempt at this ship, after that larger one became unusable after the CPU update. It can be found here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1842796589

Voyager itself can be found here:

For this go around, the ship is about 1/3 the size (2/3 the length, 200m down from 300m). Because I condensed Decks from 3 blocks to 2, the deck layout is similar and still has 7 Decks. I sized it down because to this scale because around 200m seems to be the sweet spot for a large size CV that can sport 5 XL thrusters and maneuver well while keeping within the CPU limit. I discovered this when I built my Yacht Star Destroyer, and have attached a size comparison with the original Prometheus, the star destroyer, and my scaled Millennium Falcon, the latter two of which can be found here:

Star Destroyer: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2356790878
Falcon: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2194916712

My first build was only inspired by the actual Prometheus whereas this one is a fairly 1:1 replica, save for the hangar door; replicating the semi-circle shell is difficult in voxels, so I opted for a Voyager Style one. The interior layout is heavily inspired by Voyager, however, the look of the halls resembles The NX-01 from Enterprise. I had no deck plans and not much of an interior reference to work with, so I just used my other 2 favorite ships.

I have attached the Deck List and the statistics page for specifics, but suffice it to say, this ship is fully featured with 7 constructors, 12 growing pots, and a fair amount of weapons. It can land and has a garage flush with the ground for easy HV access.

The 4 cargo bays are empty with the blue print, however, the rear bays (3 and 4) are specifically sized for 40 Blocks (the max size a container controller will support) and the front bays (1 and 2) have large bay doors for drones, shuttles or cargo mules. The hangar has bay doors that lower into the hangar work shop (Where the repair console is), and it has bay doors that lower to the garage, allowing you to pull ships from either into the repair workshop.

Finally, the elephant in the room: No, this does not have multi Vector assault mode; it is only one ship. This is so for the following reasons:

1) When ships are docked to each other, only one can contribute to moving them. This means one ship (the top) would need to hide a lot of engines, killing interior space.
2) While the bottom two ships are easy, the top ship "domes" over the second, which is a physics nightmare. As such, there would need to be a lot of empty space between the two to play nice with the physics engine.
3) Splitting the ship into the 3 (especially for the reason listed in (2)), would cause the interior to suffer heavily, reducing space by nearly half, splitting key rooms like engineering, and require every component in each ship (like a hyperdrive and generators)
4) All this makes for a less capable ship when combined and the Vector mode is only useful on a multiplayer server.
5) Finally... Honestly, I never liked the Multi-Vector Assault mode. I always thought it was gimmicky and silly. But the design of the ship is awesome, so I wanted to make it.

Now, despite all that, it certainly can be competently implemented, I just was not interested in doing so.

Anyway, I hop you enjoy this ship, I certainly enjoyed building it and think it turned out well. Let me know in the comments how this compares to Voyager.

After playing a fresh Vanilla play through in 1.10, it occurred to me... this thing is kind of large for one person to run around... So I made a smaller one! Go check it out!

Updated for 1.10 to use new blocks. Finally able to get rid of "jagged" hull.

серезно без орудий и на 8 минут при 100% баке это ужас, его надо дополнять он не готов

I recently released a Delta Flyer that will fit this shuttle bay:

Finally did a massive refit to this, making Deck 6 and 7 more of actual decks with halls. Added Astrometrics, science labs, and a new sensor room. Made turbo lifts less confusing. Retextured halls to be more like Voyager.

nice well i wish you the best on them.

@Commander Edge I took a break after Voyager as these things are pretty time consuming, but I'll hop back into it sooner or later. I wanted to make some edits to Prometheus in the lower decks which are a bit cramped. Then I wanted to move on to something like the defiant or the NX-01? I dunno.
