Description
This neat suspension / microcontroller set makes your suspension adaptive. What does that mean? It will try to level your car at all times by increasing or decreasing the "suspension strength". In this case it is done by moving the wheels up/down independently.

Advantages
  • Improved turning performance / much lower chance of roll-overs
  • Adjustable on the fly
  • Can improve aerodynamics
  • Ability to make the car jump (required a bit of mass)
  • Much better/smoother ride experience
  • Transmits power unlike other systems
  • Unlike other systems this is fairly compact and is well suited for mid-engine cars

How to integrate in your vehicle
  • Integrate all the components colored in red into your car (4x Suspension array, 1x Microcontroller, 1x Dual-Tilt Sensor Setup). Try to position the sensors as close to the center of mass as possible.
  • Wire everything up just as in the example. It's pretty self explanatory.
  • As a general guidance, try to stick to the block settings shown in the example (track base, wheel settings)
  • Go ahead and configurate the microcontroller as described:
  • Reactivity Input: This can be changed on the fly, this is how fast and strong the system reacts to sudden changes in the vehicles tilt. Low values will make it slowly adjust to it while high values will keep it as leveled as possible at all times. If that value is set too high the vehicle might start bouncing around as it overshoots (jiggle). My recommendation: Lower values for slow offroad driving, high values for racing cars on a track. Also: Vehicle weight plays a huge role, try playing around until you find a nice value.
  • Fine tuning: If your vehicle has a weird form (think of a bus) you might want to adjust the reactivity for the left/right and the front/rear seperatly. Go into the logic editor of the microcontroller and seek for the node that are on the very top and the very right (look at the logic sheet in the screenshots above: "Reactivity Processors"). Manually add a constant into the function to modify the reactivity (for example x*y*0.5 for the left/right reactivity)
  • To adjust the jumping sequence: Look at the logic board above: "Jumping Sequence". Modify the top capacitor charge time: This is the length of the jump sequence duration. For heavier vehicles, you need higher values.
    Adjust the lower capacitor to be around half of the upper capacitors value.

I have on which is like 99% completed, but still faces some problems due to the Stormworks engine, not quite happy to release it yet.

I agree, it's probably due to the size issues, can't fit it in normal cars I guess :(
