Description

Description/lore

Despite the fact that REC has the most powerful fleet of any faction in the area surrounding Terra, having the largest fleet often comes with largest logistical issues. So when LKF attacked and began to harass asteriod miners that were supplying shipyard with vital raw materials, the only truly safe place to get resources such as hydrogen and iron was on Terra, as most LKF ships couldn't fly on Terra, and if they did there was no way for them to survive the net of surface-to-air defenses including SAMs, turrets, fighter patrols etc. Mining large amounts of material on Terra seemed to be the obvious solution, except there was one problem. Most REC capital ships can't fly on Terra. This meant that they would either have to be built in space at already existing shipyards and have the material be supplied mainly from Terra or have to be dragged up into orbit with assistance from some sort of tug.

Whilst a tug was considered for development, a more practical solution was already being designed. This was the Brokk class light cargo vessel. Cheap and effective, the Brokk can haul decent amounts of material to space with ease. Their small size also means that they can be manufactured in smaller yards, saving space for larger ships. They do have one drawback however, they need dedicated docking facilities planetside to land, however this issue isn't really a problem as there are plenty pre-existing facilities already on the ground, with more being constructed as the war drags on.

A/N So I made this ship more as an experiment with the design of the bow. You see, an acquaintance of mine has recently started making ships with a similar bow structure, except using round blocks almost exclusively. I wanted to see if I could outdo that style by using the more conventional angled blocks in a similar manner. I think I outdid him, but that's up for debate.

I don't exactly remember, but it's on the default color menu. The grey is the light black color, the green is the dark green and the white is the brightest white on the color menu.
