Wild Boars [OUTDATED, SUB TO THE NEW VERSION!]

Description
This was a little side project that I have made while I was working on the Dwarf Phalanx mod.
The idea was pretty simple:
-like pretty much everyone else I liked Calm&NormalTime's Animal for the Wood Elves.
-Sadly, I didn't have the required DLCs to enjoy his mod.
-I was mainly interested in those lovely boars.
-So I just took off the parts regarding his Boars models and then assigned them to the Greenskins roster, hoping for the best.
-...and It worked! This mod Is completely standalone!

Now I had two choices= keep the mod just for me or ask to Calm&NormalTime If I could publish It with proper credits: I chose the latter.
Long story short=He didn't reply.
Since the guy seems to not have any policy regard using his stuff in other mods this could imply the following:
-He didn't reply to me because He doesn't care if I use his stuff or not.
-He didn't reply to me because He's cool with It.
-He didn't reply to me because He has somehow discovered that I do praise Papa Nurgle everyday and He did probably say something like "BY SIGMAR I'M NOT REPLYING TO THAT FOUL THING!", which is completely understandable.

But jokes aside: I really do hope you are cool with all of this man!

Returning to the mod now all I can say is this: I'm totally happy with these lovely boars inside the Greenskins roster and I do hope that you are going to become fond of them as much as I do!

Ok, presentation over: let's dive into the technical stuff!

*BALANCE*

Their stats are based on the original mod but there where some rebalance patches so they may be different now.
I'm quite happy with current stats though.
Keep in mind that I have tested them in custom battles only though.
That means that I'm not taking into account Lord's Campaign Bonuses.
Putting all of that aside, they should fit in the orc roster nicely without destroying the Old World in the process (hopefully).

*COMPATIBILITY*

As far as I know this mod works with pretty much everything that do not mess with vanilla and animal units.
I'm playing the game with 60+ different mods and everything is working fine!
The mod is NOT save compatible.
If you want these lovely boars in your campaign you'll have to start a new one.

*KNOWN ISSUES*

-None, for now.

*UPDATES POLICY*

Let me be straight with you...when the mod status change from updated to outdated....if you start to spam in the comment section things like "update pls, OMG UPDATE, can we have an update my good sir?, UpDaTe!1!1!1" and similar stuff....know that https://media.giphy.com/media/e3URFlLQywEPC/giphy.gif

...But jokes aside: please don't do that.
When it becomes necessary, and when I can, I will update my stuff, do not worry.

*Q&A*
1) "Does this mod works along with Animals for the Wood Elves?"
-On paper? Yes. In practice? solid maybe.
Since I do not have access to that mod I can't prove It nor disprove it, but since I changed the unique indexes they "should" work nicely together even if they are pieces of the very same mod.
If by any chance any of you have access to Animal for the Wood Elves and can and want to test this please do and let me know the results, thank you.
2) "Is the Giant Boar officer included in this mod too?"
-No. while that particular Boar was surely cool I didn't include him because In my opinion his colour scheme didn't fit well with the orchish badlands.
Plus, I also did remove him because I thought that he was better suited for the Wood Elves faction.
And to distinguish better this mod from the original, of course.

I hope things are going to work out for you. Any chance you could use my compressed files to reduce the size when you do the next update?

Bad news boys, It's seems that my latest updates for fixing a problem with unique indexes broke everything.
I will try to fix this in the coming days by re-releasing all my mods.
Sorry for the inconvenience and please be patient.

Maybe a better software can batch convert them or I haven't learned the skill with paintnet yet.

@tastiger841 Nice!
Hopefully this is going to help many other modders too!
(well, at least the patient ones who want to do that file by file xd)

This is the link:

I use paintnet (needs a DDS extension first) and choose "save as", then just replace the files one by one.

@tastiger841 I already have the permission to host all of this, I don't think anyone would complain if I compress the size, so go ahead, upload it and post the link here.
By the way, what did you use for compress the entire thing?
tastiger841 17 Feb, 2021 @ 4:12am
I have successfully reduced the size to 99 MB without noticeable quality reduction.

Do I need to seek original creator's permission before I hand them to you?
zerg93  [author] 16 Feb, 2021 @ 12:39am
@tastiger841 I'm not 100% sure about it but I think that there is no way to compress these files!
