I used to only get the effect when using heavy machine guns but after the new ace update, I'm getting exploding heads consistently with small arms :story:

as for the survivable headshots, definitely agreed - my players complained it was really annoying to lose NVGs and headgear in our sessions. thx for updating :steamthumbsup:

Oh and on the Weapons: I've had no issue with the CDLC weapons, I'll try it again since I slightly modified the trigger values so maybe some of the CDLC calibers are too small. I don't really test for anything outside of the mods I normally run (ACE with RHS and CUP) but I remembered GM playing nicely with it last time i tried it.

On the race thing: It's probably possible but it's a task that I am unwilling to undertake, the skintones match close enough but the facial features slightly change, that's not a deal breaker for me personally. That and I am not willing to make a variation for each racial head since it's baked into the model.

On the config menu: I'm not a coder by any stretch and this is by and large a personal mod mod (hence why it's unlisted etc). There WAS a config menu that kinda worked before but I pulled it out because I didn't want to have to place the module down in each scenario to make it work. If I can figure out how to make it work in less than 10 minutes I'll implement it lol.

The mod got unpublished due to some new terms update that I had to agree to. I'll public it when I get the time to try and make it work directly with ACE.

Yes KSA it works without the module being placed.

Not sure why it's not working for you Norwegian, what guns do you normally use? It is randomized because of the way ArmA handles damage upper chest shots spill over to the head. I think shotguns have a hard time triggering it because the way the calibers work in game as well. Some RHS guns struggle to trigger it as well because of similar caliber coding in those mod's magazines. CUP .308 mags reliably triggered the medium damage and the RHS .308 mags triggered the small damage state. Same for their respective .50BMGs. I tested it post update as well so it should "just work" for you. Let me know some more details and hopefully it's something simple.
