Nanaimo is a city on the Canadian west coast. Located on Vancouver Island, the city has many small lakes formed by its volcanic mountains.

The Esquimalt & Nanaimo Railway connects the city by the south and northwest, its tracks crossing the Nanaimo River and traveling near the coast.
