I'm surprised I haven't seen this done before, so...

A quick and simple script edit that makes marines drop only 15 9mm rounds when killed, a la HL1. This also affects the first MP5 the player picks up. However, it does not affect MP5s that are placed in a map directly - these are actually a different entity that always give 30 rounds, since that's what the MP5 ammo pickup is set to.

Any chance we can get those pickup variables fixed, CC? C'mon. At the very least, make crossbow clips only give 5 rounds or something, seriously.

Note that this mod is not compatible with any other mods that edit the MP5's script file (scripts/gameplay/weapons/weapon_mp5.dmx). This means mods that change the weapon's first-person FOV, or change its accuracy/stats.

I don't really have the time or energy to maintain a bunch of different versions of this to match everyone's needs, so if you want to apply this mod alongside another MP5 script mod - find and extract that mod's weapon_mp5.dmx script file, and add this line to it:
"default_clip" "int" "15"

Cool mod that matches the selection like a orig. H-L 1 half-mag for MP5, I also decided to play the remake of BS with mods including your mod and, alas, it doesn’t work, because it won’t be read in your game codes, you'll then have to make the same mod for BS and thank you in advance if you make a mod for BS:bms:

Is it also negated by mods that alter it's sound or particle effects. I'm only using MBWS II and a particle mod, and I'm still getting full clips.

decent mod :> the mp5 sometimes feels like an infinite ammo gun in the base game and now with this mod the pistol is pretty useful for conserving ammo now that u get less of it.

Mandatory to get a real game out of black mesa.
