Robo Empire Envoy Mk III Starfighter

Description
"If it's painted red, that means it'll go faster right?"

Envoy Mk III Starfighter
The Envoy Mk III is the Robo Empire's third generation multi-role starfighter. Capable of operating independently or as a carrier-based fighter for larger assaults, the Envoy can carry out any mission it's given. The Envoy Mk III is also capable of interplanetary flight, able to effectively operate in most planetary bodies and atmospheres. However, anything above 1.2g's is not recommended for optimal flight performance.

Description
The Envoy Mk II was a venerable starship for the Imperial Navy, helping to establish and maintain the Empire's galactic claims for almost two centuries. However, the ship had several issues, issues that became apparent after the start of the Corporate Insurrection.

During several key battles at the beginning of the war, the Empire suffered major naval losses, primarily due to the shortcomings of the Envoy Mk II. While the ship's speed and agility gave the ship an advantage in quick engagements, the Envoy could not effectively operate or survive in prolonged battles due to its lighter armament, leaving battle groups open to enemy bombing runs. Fearing total defeat and the destruction of the Empire, development immediately began on a newer and more capable Envoy to combat the growing threat posed by the NCI.

The Envoy Mk III is a complete overhaul of the Mk II, and is noticeably larger than its predecessor. For its armament, the ship wields four Gatling cannons and two salvo rocket pods. The wings feature spotlights for better navigation in nighttime/low-visibility conditions, and can be folded up for storage purposes aboard an Ambassador carrier. The wings can also be detached in case of an emergency. It has custom landing gear, a connector for coupling with larger ships, and a landing gear for magnetic locking to a hull or the ground if necessary.

User Manual
Landing Struts:
To effectively use the landing struts on the Envoy, all you need to do is lock the hinges before touching down so the hinges can support the weight of the craft.

Wings
While not entirely necessary, it is recommended that you lock the wing hinges whenever flying to maintain stability. It doesn't make much of a difference during flight, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Artificial Mass
If you wish to use the Envoy's main landing struts in an artificial gravity environment, the ship has been equipped with a set of artificial masses. Simply activate and deactivate them when necessary.
