Description
As the title says this is an SFO version of my original Phalanx mod.

Ever wanted to slaughter the countless enemies of Dawi with more than an axe or a hammer?Yes?
Then may I introduce you to these brand new spear and polearm units for our stunty bois?Good.

This mod comes with four new units, two tier 1 and two tier 4, respectively:
-Dwarf Warriors with spear & shield
-Dwarf Warriors Phalanx (polearm)
-Iron Guard with spear & shield
-Iron Guard Phalanx (polearm)

*Update 27/02/2021*
Added three new units:
-Iron Guard Hammerfists (Hammers & Shields)
-Iron Guard Blazing Axes (Flaming Axes & Shields)
-Iron Guard Enforcers (Rifles and Axes & Shields)
Changed the colour scheme to greyish-stone.

They are all specialized in defensive roles and should be used as such.

Ok, presentation over: let's dive into the technical stuff!

*BALANCE*

This is my very first attempt with SFO, so I'm kinda unsure about this part.
The fact that I generally don't use SFO and I ended up installing It just for test my units doesn't help either.
I did use as guide the general SFO's Dwarf stats to balance these units, then I tried them in custom battles and they did seem fine to me, if you feel otherwise about it let me know in the comments.

*COMPATIBILITY*

As far as I know this mod works with pretty much everything that do not mess with vanilla units and formations.
I'm playing the game with 60+ different mods and everything is working fine.
You can and MUST use this along with the original Rumpl4's shield wall mod, otherwise it will not work.
The mod is NOT save compatible.
If you want these stunties in your campaign you'll have to start a new one.

*KNOWN ISSUES*

-Since this mod uses Rumpl4's shield wall animation, It has the same issue: "siege defence, forcing shield formation in a unit on a wall prior the clicking the start battle button will cause a crash, to avoid this, start the battle, then activate the formation."
-While Rumpl4's shield wall mod can run along with SFO there is a problem: SFO has the Battle Standard Bearer mod integrated by default which is not a problem for my custom units but It is for every Dwarf base unit covered by Rumpl4's mod from Dwarf warriors to Ironbreakers.
The thing is that the Standard Bearers break the shield wall animations and I tested this multiple time.
So yeah: you get the shield wall with my units but the other Dwarf units will have their animations broken, you can still activate the ability on said units but they will just regroup in a tight formation WITHOUT the shield wall animation.
Can't do anything about that.
-This is not a issue...it's rather an aesthetic problem.
Let's address the elephant in the room right away.
As you may have already guessed by some of the screenshots, these stunty bois look like Polearm units but do NOT act like one.
That's due to the fact that the Dwarf's animations section for two hands weapons is limited to axes and hammers.
I tried to use cross-culture animations too but since certain type of skeletons are supposed to work ONLY with certain type of 3D models, I ended up facing major visual distortions every time.
While I still think that a Polearm animation for Dwarfs is totally feasible with custom skeletons/animations/models ecc... that's far above my current modding skills.
So for the time being, the polearm units in this mod will keep the Dwarf's Two Hands weapon stock animation, deeply sorry about that fellas.
Same story for the spear & shield units, the Dwarfs don't have any animation for one hand spears and thus I used the Dwarf's axe & shield stock animation.

*UPDATES POLICY*

Let me be straight with you...when the mod status change from updated to outdated....if you start to spam in the comment section things like "update pls, OMG UPDATE, can we have an update my good sir?, UpDaTe!1!1!1" and similar stuff....know that https://media.giphy.com/media/e3URFlLQywEPC/giphy.gif


...But jokes aside: please don't do that.
When it becomes necessary, and when I can, I will update my stuff, do not worry.

*Q&A*
1) "I'm skilled enough to give this units a proper Polearm animation. Can I use your mod as a template and then publish it?"
-Yes. Just credit me and erase from your brain my unique indexes.
2) "I don't mind that animation at all, those polearm weapons though...can we get something more Halberd-ish?"
-Ehh I get what you are saying, i did choose these particular weapons because of the user who requested this mod and because I like that particular weapon, but if by any chance you want something else I can make another version with Empire Halberds, just let me know in the comments.
3) "I have tried the spear & shield units but they are acting like scarecrows, did I do something wrong?"

4) " I have tried the Iron Guard units but they don't have blasting charges, is It normal?"
-Yes, It is. I did remove blasting charges from those units to make them more different than regular Ironbreakers and to give you a reason to keep recruiting Ironbreakers units along Iron Guard ones.
If you still want blasting charges that bad I can make a separate version of this mod, just let me know in the comments.
5) "That's cool and all but I don't really care about the shield wall mod, can I have a version without it?"

Bad news boys, It's seems that my latest updates for fixing a problem with unique indexes broke everything.
I will try to fix this in the coming days by re-releasing all my mods.

@AranhaMaluco That's odd my units are tied to barracks and workshops so the HQ upgrade should not mess with any of that.
respectively:
-Dwarf Spear Warriors barracks Lv1
-Dwarf Phalanx barracks Lv2
-All Iron Guard units except the enforcers barracks lv4
-Iron Guard Enforcers (Rifles and Axes & Shields) workshop lv4
Try to see if this happens when you are upgrading the barracks, and tell me the specific units involved, please.

Hello, i come to report a bug in the dwarves headquartes that when you up him, he can’t recruit anymore, so... a Level II H.Q. can't do it anymore recruit dwarven spears and a Level III dwarven spears AND Phalanx too
