Ryu Hayabusa

The Dragon Ninja is back in Rivals of Aether! Now sporting a brand new sprite and even some brand new moves!
Ryu Hayabusa is a deadly fighter who can easily control the battlefield using his Shadow Clones, Teleports and Long range Strongs, however he also requires precision when using his moves, so don't be too reckless or you won't be getting your revenge!

NSpecial - Shadow Clone:
Ryu summons a Shadow Clone, this clone will mimic all of Ryu's moves! While the clone is out you can hold NSpecial again to bring the clone closer to Ryu, or just do little taps to slightly move the clone or make it face the same direction as you

FSpecial - Shuriken Throw:
Ryu throws a shuriken in front of him, if you simply tap the button, Ryu throws a weaker but faster shuriken. However if you hold down the button, Ryu throws the powerful Windmill Shuriken! This projectile is stronger, but also slower, you can also throw it diagonally up or down, just take a look on the arrow in front of Ryu

DSpecial - Ninpo - Fire Wheel:
Fire orbs surrounds Ryu while he strikes a pose, this is a counter move. If Ryu gets hit while the counter is active, a small burst of energy will push any close opponent away from Ryu, which then gives Ryu Max Essence! Max Essence basically charges Ryu next strong to the max

USpecial - Izuna Drop:
Ryu opens his arms and jumps upward, getting into pratfall. However if he happens to connect this move with an opponent, Ryu will grab them, fly upwards and then come crashing down in a powerful explosion! You can also suicide with your opponents, however remember that Ryu always dies first


Moving the Clone with Attacks: DTilt, Dash Attack, DAir, FStrong, UStrong and DStrong all move the clone alongside Ryu, so you can use those to move the clone and also keep attacking and your momentum
Strong Stuns: When Ryu uses any Strongs, instead of launching the target, the Clone then stuns its target for a brief amount of time, always launching the opponents the same distance
Clone Cooldown: The Clone can be destroyed by either getting hit or being parried (or Ryu getting parried too), that way you need to wait 5 seconds to use the clone again, however you can make it go faster by landing hits or parries! But the opposite is also true, by getting hit and parried the Clone takes longer to charge again
Teleport: If you throw your Shuriken at your clone, you'll instantly teleport to its location!
Instant Max Essence: If you teleport to the clone while you're charging or about to charge a Strong, you'll get Max Essence, thus making your Strong have Max Charge!
Clone Detonation: If you use DSpecial while the Clone is active, the counter will then be on the Clone rather than Ryu. But instead of powering you up, the clone will blow up if it gets hit by an attack
Remote Detonation: If you throw a Shuriken at the clone and use DSpecial before the shuriken hits the clone, you can blow it up on your own!
Izuna Detonation: If you happen to connect USpecial with your clone, the clone will blow up and send Ryu way higher than normal,a nd any opponent caught in this explosion will be grabbed by Ryu

Max Essence: When you have Max Essence by either landing DSpecial or teleporting to the clone when charging a strong, you can still keep charging it for a better timing, or even reset its charge by pressing Parry
Essence Charging: You can charge your Strongs for much longer, whey the Aura around Ryu is Orange it means they are charged to the Max
Strongs Distance and Priority: Ryu flies way further in the determined direction once the Strong reaches Max Charge, they can also go off-stage or even start charging off-stage if you're fast enough
DStrong Falling Through: If you hold down on the analog stick while falling with DStrong, Ryu will pass through any non solid-platforms on his way down. You can also use this move as a suicide maneuver
Wall Climb: Ryu Hayabusa can cling into walls and climb them either up or down
DTilt and Dash Attack Cancel: Ryu can cancel his total endlag if he uses DTilt or Dash Attacj when going off the ledge
DAir Turnaround: You can dive with DAir to the direction your facing or not, just hold the desirable direction
NAir Loops: If you hold down Attack when using NAir, Ryu will keep on spinning
