Heya folks, https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3278060199 by The_Ramdom_Cheese now contains this mod in addition to several other cultures. You may prefer to subscribe to that one instead.

Old description:

Replaces nearly all names for the Roman culture.

I've added dozens of historical Roman names from mid-to-late republican era to some latinized medieval names.
Due to changing naming practices throughout the centuries this might result in some silly combinations like Junius Junius.

Best name possible is probably Maximus Manlius.

Only English

Feel free to make a better version or translation based on mine and upload it without asking me if you like

Works fine with my rather extensive mod list

@tilarium - Apologies about that, I have remade my mod from the ground up and I'm currently adding KapteenCarlos names to the roman name list along with others I'm currently researching :steamthumbsup:

Anyone know if this is working in 1.14? Sadly, Romans don't have many names because the game doesn't really expect anyone to be Roman and The Ramdom Cheese has removed his awesome mod.

Great idea. I love Roman history and etymology, and 'd love to add to to this mod, but I'm only just now learning how to mod. There weren't enough Roman names before when playing Roman, so this mod was very welcome to me. However, when 'Vigilantia' popped up as a woman's name, that's when I fell in love with this mod. Thanks.
