Description
There are many HL1 music packs in the workshop, but many Black Mesa tracks play at different spots than in Half Life. This pack creatively uses the Half Life Soundtrack, while sticking to Black Mesa's music cues. The Xen Soundtrack has not been changed.
This pack is compatible with Definitive Edition.

Oh and same goes for menu music. One track is replaced and the other is from Black Mesa, weird.

It's one of my favourite mods for Black Mesa. I liked the music placements, and the songs which were looped were great, so I disagree with gD. But music in Unforseen Consequences wasn't replaced for some reason, I don't know why.

I think Black Mesa is great but the new sound track just doesnt quite hit the same as the original hl1 soundtrack does. Thanks for making this

this is great apart from the track "hard technology rock" that plays in surface tension is all wrong and loops part of the song endlessly until you defeat all the soldiers and the helicopter. It just doesn't fit and is annoyingly repetitive.. there's another part that's just wrong when you defeat the garg and it plays "alien shock" it doesn't fit at all. i feel like the creator chose that track because of the title of the track given that you electrocute the garg to defeat him.. it's just totally out of place.. other than that it's really great because i hate the BM soundtrack pre Xen.
