GETA - Flyer steam tender

GeTA Sulfur Railway
10 items
Description
In it's early days (during the steam era) the GeTA Sulfur was simply known as the GETA (Geo-thermal Tranz Alpine).
In this time period the railway was only used as a rail connection from Oatery to the alpine village of Serro Geo.
It was used to transfer both passengers and supplies, and became a major asset when sulfur mining started in the area.

The Hotrocks mine was the first to open, and much later (during the diesel era) the new Hope Fault mine was opened along with a new branch rail line. This new branch line connects to the main line at Hope Fault Junction.

During the switch from steam to diesel, the Geo-thermal Tranz Alpine railroad took up the new "GeTA Sulfur" name and started re-branding all of it's rolling stock.
