Description
UPDATE 9 Mar 2021 - updated the model with reduced size of the LOD and some tris improvement to the main model. Also changed some of the landscaping using the existing props in the phase I pack.

This low residential growable is part of the SUBURBIA phase I collection of houses.

This pack contains:

- Level 1 through 5 houses

Caveat: I have created some retail buildings and signs so far as an asset creator. I am new to this and this is the biggest thing I've embarked upon. There may be issues, if their are, please note them in the comments section and I'll do my best to review and address.

- these assets share the same textures to save RAM with the Loading Screen Mod and are fairly low in tris.
- BUILDING THEMES is required for this to work properly (the houses levelling up correctly). I have not added it as a dependency as you can use these without the theme, they just won't level up into the right house.

SUBURBIA phase I - What is it?

I set-out to design a set of modern (early 2000's) houses that you would typically find in a 'middle-class' suburban neighbourhood in North America. These houses are inspired by ones found around the Greater Toronto Area.

This differs slightly from some of the other low residential themes out there in that (if you use the Building Theme in the one-click collection below) the house on each lot remains the same as it levels up. A house lot will start off with just a house and dirt, then slowly get more things added to it as it grows - just like a real neighbourhood. Driveways, fences, trees, and props will be automatically added as the building levels up - no need to detail your suburbs.

The houses are designed to work with Hockenheim95's BIG Suburbs roads. As with the BIG Suburbs assets, you should flatten the land you are going to build your suburb on before zoning. Additionally, the driveways don't interact quite so well on curved roads, as they won't line-up with the sidewalk and the curb. So best to use straight roads in your suburb.

Are you using the building themes mod? If so, you should be able to adjust the spawn rate down for that asset in the theme you're using.

I am of course just an enjoyer of other people's hard work, and know nothing about the process of making assets, but if there is somewhere to adjust spawn rate please consider nudging it down a smidge. They blend in beautifully with the suburban sprawl and add much needed subtle diversity to the game but just not on my corners lol

Thanks. I didn't do many corner houses in phase I. Will do additional ones in the near future.

lovely work, though this house in particular has an incredibly high spawn rate on corners, with my residential being a lot of 8x8 blocks they pop up everywhere. Interestingly, when i zone a 4x4 space by itself on the corner this will always pop up rather than any other house.
