Description
BACKGROUND
The R.V. Alberta is a capable high-speed research and recovery vessel, equipped to explore, rescue and perform smaller deliveries. Designed by the (fictional) Canadian Shipbuilder "Canuk Marine", and launching in 2018, the R.V. Alberta has travelled from the Arctic to the Caribbean, collecting sea samples, exploring shipwrecks and recovering shipwreck victims and flotsam. Built with luxury and performance in mind, the R.V. Alberta can be manned by a crew of 1-3, and reach speeds in excess of 100 km/h (54 knots). All systems are designed to be operated by a 1-man crew. The rear cargo deck is large enough to store and deploy a mini-sub or RHIB boat, and has been tested on several accounts.

  • The winch does now allow for the probes to get pulled onto the deck once they are in the water. The best way to get them back onto the deck is to attach the probe to the cable anchors on the crane.
  • The repair access hatches do not allow entry into the void area but do allow you to repair any damaged elements

What do I got to do to make the crane work? Nothing is happening when I sit in the seat..

P.S.

With all that being said, this is the best performing SAR ready build I've tried in Stormworks so far, and I'm on a potato so every frame boost is a good one. Moreover, even though the vehicle editor gives me a warning about performance suffering due to the high number of lights onboard, it easily outperforms most other ships of a similar size and capability. Dunno how you did it, but this is as close to excellent as a new player could hope for. TYVM!

I've got a little feedback for you because I've enjoyed this build quite a lot right out of the box.

Things I'd consider "fixing":
* Not enough displayed data despite having a glass HUD (just for the night vision overlay).
- Heading, Track, Rotation (to indicate Rudder) and Speed.
- Estimated Time to Next Waypoint and Estimated Time to Last Waypoint

* Additional Data not being displayed.
- Depth Under Keel. The shallow water warning system is fine, but it would be nice to have that info explicit.
- Detailed Weather, such as Wind (Speed and Direction), Humidity, and Temp (fairly common 1x1 console on many ships).

* Engine Throttle seems borked above 50%, with the engine pulsing itself nearly into stalling. Top speed I could get was around 32 knots at 51-52%, which isn't shabby by any means but it is also not what you advertised. ; )
