São Geraldo - VDL Futura FDD2

Started in 1949 and operated routes interconnected cities in eastern Minas Gerais state, having as the main route Caratinga x Governador Valadares. In the mid-1950s, the company had 23 buses and reached double the number of vehicles in four years. New owners took over, a process of expansion began nationwide with the purchase of several companies that were connecting the major cities of the state of Bahia to Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. In 1968, the expansion has progressed to other states in Brazil as Goiás, Espírito Santo, Piauí, Alagoas, Sergipe, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco and Ceará. In the 80s, the company had lines that reached almost all the Northeast. In 2004, Gontijo Group took control of the company São Geraldo and today the company runs more than 95 million miles per year with a fleet of 800 buses and more than 100 interstate lines.
