No, it was too good to have been thought up back then, and since we work heavily with lighting and shadows, even if it hadn't been part of the map after all the updates, it'd doubtlessly been added.
The stand-alones only contain the specified chapter, so if you only want to play power up, this is the one you want. Note that the full download includes every map in the game, even ones that don't yet have stand-alones, but still have numerous tweaks, balance changes, optimizations, and so on.
