*** About Weapon Scripts ***
Scripts aim to match as close to real world specs as feasible. Exotic weapons (like those from other games) may have some liberties taken.

Adjustments include weight, recoil/spread, magazine size, rate of fire, effective range/falloff range, AI preference, and penetration depth/stats.

Damage, rate of fire, and player movement speed may be adjusted up or down.

To keep in line with vanilla gameplay and prevent OP, damage is adjusted accordingly:
  • Damage adjusted up/down (typically up) when needed to keep in tune with the original game stats.
  • Damage per magazine is favored over DPS, since rate of fire changes make DPS incomparable to vanilla.
IE: Silenced Uzi has 50 round/mag at X damage. When magazine capacity is lowered to match the Honey Badger's, damage is adjusted up to match the vanilla's damage per *magazine* as Honey Badger's rate of fire adjustment against vanilla makes DPS comparisons invalid.

Please report any issues on my profile page. Thanks!

@Cyberpsycho
Sir, what you have posted is what some may call a useless comment.

You've neither asked for any action, nor provided enough relevant information for me to to anything with. I cannot guess at what you are attempting to convey- I'm not that good.

If you are saying the picture doesn't work, you're incorrect. I just clicked on it and viewed it large. If your connection is blocking the image you are welcome to read 3 lines lower and find the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hn2ELPDXtpCPwgMsQv3zrGIPY_5OIn9e2kmqb7CEfgI/

If you mean anything other than that by "....." then I can't fathom a guess... I hope you get answers to whatever it is your are seeking my friend.

If you wanna see what the script does subscribe. Subscribe to Tumtara and load it up with both active. There are a few things you can target to get an idea of the changes. Beyond that I wish you luck good sir.

@d-
Don't forget the range... distance is a big thing in this game, getting too close can be dangerous to your health :P

Of course Tier 1 weapons will probably always be slightly "less than" Tier 2 weapons, but you may be able to do more damage at range depending on the weapon. Currently fixing that now ;)

Ohhhh, I see
High penetration, but the bullet itself is still small, hence why the damage is kept that low

I can respect your ideas, although that also means that from a balance standpoint, they still stand lacking a bit against Tier 2 and 3 weapons, but still, the higher penetration is a great detail
Thanks for the response!

@d-
Not a bother at all, happy to discuss it. Damage is always adjusted to keep in line with the vanilla stats, otherwise there's an unfair advantage... don't want to skewer the difficulty one way or the other, wanna keep to the spirit of the game as much as possible. Damage is the same, but penetration is higher, as is the overall range, and recoil is adjusted.

The P90 uses a 5.7x28mm round which I think is the same as the FN Five-seveN pistol, has high penetration but lower terminal effectiveness against a human... my scripts reduce the Mac-10 to its realistic magazine capacity so damage goes up. Mac-10 uses either .45 acp or 9x19mm... I based the script off a 9x19mm.

I don't mean to bother you by being the only living being that comments on your script posts, but wouldn't you believe a higher damage would be fitting for a P90? As far as I recall, the ammo type was of a higher caliber than that of a MAC-10 (the default silenced smg)
