Setup:
Teams
Each player picks a color (Green or Purple) and places their chosen Character Piece at the Spawn Point matching that color.
Teams should have the same amount of players
If there are 2 total players, there will be 1 on each team. If there are 4, there will be 2 on each team.
Weapons

Each player chooses one Weapon from the following, which will define the way they Shoot for the rest of the game:

Splattershot

Splat Roller

Splat Charger

Grab 3 Weapon Cards that display the Weapon you chose and put them into your hand (in TableTop Simulator, drag the card to the bottom of your screen). These cards display the pattern of hexes that you will color on the board every time you shoot.
These are also for keeping track of how many shots you have left before you must Reload.
Spawn Points:
When starting the game or Respawning, you place your Character Piece on either of the White Hexagons located at the Spawn Point of your team color. Next to your Spawn Point exists a Counter, which will be used to keep track of how many tiles your team currently has claimed. These raised spawn tiles cannot be claimed by the other team, and do not count toward your Tile Counter.
The Spawn Point looks like this (identical for each team):

Gameplay:
Turn Order
Play continues to alternate between the two teams throughout the game. One Round consists of one turn for each player. Count the Rounds by incrementing the counter on the side of the board every time the youngest person takes their turn.

Take turns in this order:
Youngest person overall (Team 1)
Youngest person on opposite team (Team 2)
Oldest person (Team 1)
Oldest person (Team 2)
On Your Turn
On your turn, you may take up to 2 actions, which are defined in the Actions section.
Claiming Tiles
When you Shoot, you color tiles on the board in a pattern defined by your Weapon. Keep track of the amount of tiles you have claimed using the counter near your team’s Spawn Point.
Eliminating Opponents
If the enemy changes the tile underneath your Character Piece into that of their ink color, then you are Eliminated. Remove your Character Piece from the board and use the Respawn action on your next turn.
Winning
After 10 rounds, have more claimed tiles than your opponent to win.
Actions:
You may take up to 2 actions per turn. Be aware that some choices consume both of your actions when performed.
Moving (1 action)
You may move up to 4 tiles in any direction.

Tiles are divided into three heights: ground level (dark gray), medium (medium gray), and tall (light gray). You can move down off of a tall/medium tile onto a ground level tile, but if you want to get from a ground level tile to a tall tile you must go up a medium tile first. However, you can move from a ground tile immediately to a tall tile only if the tall tile is inked in your color and you are in Squid Form.

Note that you cannot move onto black-topped tiles in any circumstance.
Squid Form (2 actions)
You can move as many tiles through your own ink as you want. Your movement ends when you choose to stop or once you step onto a tile that is not your color. This can only be activated when you’re on your own ink color. Changing back to regular form can be done whenever and costs no actions. You may not Shoot in Squid Form.

In addition, being in squid form allows you to move from a ground tile to a tall tile without the need of stepping on a medium tile first, but only when the tall tile is inked in your color.
Shooting (1 action)
Shooting allows you to color hexes on the board that correlate with your team color. The pattern in which you create the colored hexes on the board depends on the Weapon you select at the start of the game. Remember to update the Counter near your team’s Spawn Point to keep track of how many tiles you have claimed.

Use the 2 (green) and 3 (purple) keys on your keyboard while hovering your cursor over a tile to switch its color instantaneously.

After using this action remove one Weapon Card from your hand and place it in its Stack on the side.

The following pictures demonstrate the patterns for each weapon (the orange circle is your Character Piece, the blue area is the pattern of hexes you claim in any direction):

Splattershot

Splat Roller

Splat Charger

Reloading (1 action)
You can Reload if your Character Piece is currently on one of your claimed tiles. This may occur at any point during your turn.
You start with 3 Weapon Cards, which deplete every time you shoot
When you Reload you place Weapon Cards that depict your chosen Weapon back into your hand until you have a total of 3.

Respawning (2 actions)
After your Character Piece is removed from play by being Eliminated, Respawning is the only action you are able to take. This action cannot be taken while your Character Piece is still on the board.

When used, place your Character Piece on either of the White Hexagons located at the Spawn Point of your team color, and reload all 3 of your weapon cards. Squid form ends when you Respawn.

If your team has at least 10 less tiles claimed than your opponents, Respawning only takes 1 action. If your team has at least 20 less tiles claimed than your opponents, Respawning takes no actions.
