• The Wooden Buckler is the most basic shield, and the foundation for most other shields.
  
• The Stone Buckler is an upgraded wooden buckler, also the foundation for many shields.
  
• The Golden Shield is a gorgeous shield that only the fanciest of warriors carry.
  
• The Marble Shield is durable, but slows you when carried.
  
• The Moon Shield is extremely durable, but costly.
  
• The Spiny Shield deals damage to attackers, but is quite flimsy.
  
• The Night Shield spawns shadowy tentacles that fight for you.
  
• The Thulecite Guarder will heal itself over time as long as you don't break it.
  
• The Lazy Defender will teleport attackers away, giving you a chance to flee.
  
• The Glowing Herald provides light around it while on the ground or while equipped.
  
• The Bone Shield drains the sanity of nearby players. Has a unique recipe when Cannibalism 18+ is enabled.
  
• The Pumpkin Shield rots over time but is cheap to make.

• The Tungsten Shield is very strong and has an empty slot for a gem.
  
• The Red Gem Shield will ignite attackers.
  
• The Blue Gem Shield will freeze attackers.

Known bugs:
Blocking while attacking with a boomerang causes the spiny shield to instantly break if the victim blocks with it. (You can also break your own spiny shield if you block on the boomerang's return.)
Running and then blocking before coming to a stop will cause clients to see themselves in the wrong animation while holding a shield until they stop blocking.
