Statistics
Playtime: About 2 hours
Secrets: 22
Enemies (easy): 1769 (1846 with extra co-op enemies)
Enemies (normal): 1800 (1952 with extra co-op enemies)
Enemies (hard): 1822 (2028 with extra co-op enemies)
Enemies (serious): 1894 (2244 with extra co-op enemies)
Co-op: Yes, full co-op support with checkpoints, locked door teleports and extra enemies!

Known problems
  • I forgot to unflag 'No QuickSave on level start' in the WorldSettingsController for release, so the game doesn't save automatically on level load. The first checkpoint is when getting the second pistol, so either hit that quicksave button or run for half a minute.
  • I included a new Lava Gnaar texture, but the way SamRev organizes files it may not show up. Works fine in Classic, though.
  • After getting the laser you'll find a garden after a residential area. There are two big statues on either side with glitched lighting.
  • There may be some trees or bushes slightly floating or stuck inside architecture.

Notes
  • The level takes place in nighttime. The full campaign level will take place during sunset.
  • The previous demo started you with the weapons you had during the campaign, so the difficulty curve was flat and high. All enemy scripting has been redone for this demo and you start with the pistol and knife.
  • The Egypt demo was tested on normal mode and a ton of enemies were dumped in on serious mode for co-op. That was not fun. This time all testing has been done on serious mode and single player is balanced. Don't expect it to be easy, though.
  • The full campaign secrets have been removed and new ones added to this demo to keep the full campaign fresh. The drawback is no silly secrets, those will be saved for the campaign.
  • Final boss spoiler: It's interesting to note that in Tower of Babel it's extremely rare to see the Larva recharge itself, while in the campaign it rushes to heal itself if all the batteries aren't destroyed. Huh.
  • No Egypt, sorry.
  • Full campaign release on Serious Sam Classic: The Second Encounter anniversary... probably.

Full campaign update
When I released the last demo the full campaign was in a very barebones state. Most levels were nowhere near done and it was kind of a mess. I've since upgraded my workflow (GitLab) and the pandemic has given me a great deal more time available, so ~75% of the progress of the state the campaign is in now has been in the past two years. Most levels are in beta and I'm aiming for a 5 February 2022 release date.

Hello friend, thanks for your comment. I had to pause full campaign development for the time being due to complications with my health, but I'll pick it up again and finish it when I can.

I love that you positively compare my level of a 19-year-old game with one six months old. Thanks! :)

Too much cube forms used in buildings and too wide spaces of nothing (just like France in SS4). Everything else is fine.

I would, but I'm not entirely sure where. Seriously was my home, and the communities are way more splintered now.
